“ We had breakfast and it was SO GOOD. Among us we had bacon biscuits, an omelette, fried eggs, and pancakes. Everything was amazing. The owner served us and chatted a lot and was so friendly and nice to talk to. Oh and prices are fantastic, especially for the quality of what we got. Go here, you will be glad you did. ”
“ Food was wonderful! Friendly staff. It’s a little off the beaten path and was not as busy as it should have been. But that was ok with us. We were in and out in about 30 minutes. The building is nice, and cool. Lots of parking. Can’t wait to try it again. ”
“ If you love soul food and you are in Americus, GA. Go eat at Madea's Diner and Bakery. The food is delicious and babe, the fired chicken taste like grandma cooked it. I'm talking that good crispy crunch chicken. Potato salad taste like it's homemade. Also the deserts are good. Best soul food in town!! ”
“ Excellent diner to go for a good meal. I am a big fan of the ham and yams along with the dressing on Sunday. Do not forget dessert. Stop by for lunch Sunday thru Friday and get your fill. ”
“ My family went there today to eat Sunday dinner and it was good, that was our first time this year going there and the food was good like I remembered it... love it..... ”
“ The food was delicious! Everything we ate was cooked just right! The staff was very polite. Our experience was great! Seven of ate for about $11 per person which included our drinks and drink refills. ”
“ Y'know those holiday gatherings with the family? Remember the taste of the ham, biscuits, and greens your aunts and cousins brought together? Madea's Diner can bring those taste memories back to you in a single mouthful. The food is 5 stars and so is the hospitality once you belly up to the cafeteria style buffet line. They do have a drive through but half the fun of a diner like this is bumping into your neighbors and catching up on the local gossip. I do wish they had an usher at the entrance or some signs to point you towards that buffet, though. If you're not familiar with the layout, it can be a tad confusing. ”
“ The food was delicious and we got there about 10 minutes before closing time but they didn't mind at all. It was like a homie place. The conversation was with strangers that seemed like friends; we never saw each other before in our lives and yet it felt like we had known each other for years. It was a really good place to eat at. We googled places to eat in Americus Ga., Madea's Place was listed and there you have it. We also visited Koinonia Farm. We had an amazing Sunday after church outing. ”
